araCreate Group

Purpose
The primary goal of all araCreate Group events, communities, and collaborations is to foster an inclusive, innovative, and welcoming environment for all participants. We are committed to ensuring a friendly, safe, and respectful space for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion (or lack thereof), or background.This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior within our community and the consequences of unacceptable actions. We invite all participants to contribute to a positive and productive experience for everyone involved.
araCreate Community Values
A key objective of this Code of Conduct is to promote a culture of openness, respect, and collaboration within the araCreate Group. Communities reflect the broader societies they exist in, and we recognize that proactive efforts are needed to address inequalities and foster inclusivity. If you see someone going above and beyond to create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, we encourage you to acknowledge their efforts.
Expected Behavior
  • Engage authentically and actively. Your participation shapes the culture and longevity of our community.

  • Show respect and consideration in your interactions, both online and offline.

  • Prioritize collaboration over conflict.

  • Avoid any demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior or speech.

  • Be mindful of the community space and your fellow participants. If you notice a problematic situation, a person in distress, or any violations of this Code of Conduct, report them to the designated community leaders.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behaviors include but are not limited to:

  • Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory, or derogatory speech or actions in any community interaction.

  • Prejudicial or harmful comments based on gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability, or other protected characteristics.

  • Use of inappropriate nudity or sexual imagery (including presentation slides), or depictions of violence.

  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwelcome following.

  • Harassing photography or recording.

  • Sustained disruption of talks, events, or discussions.

  • Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstances. This applies to all community members, including sponsors and decision-makers. If someone is asked to stop engaging in unacceptable behavior, they are expected to comply immediately.

Community organizers may take any necessary actions, including:

  • Issuing warnings.

  • Temporary suspension from community activities.

  • Permanent expulsion from the community without refund (if applicable).

Reporting Violations

If you experience or witness any violations of this Code of Conduct, please report them to a designated araCreate Group organizer as soon as possible.
Organizers will assist with addressing concerns, including helping individuals contact local authorities if necessary. For in-person events, escorts can be provided for anyone feeling unsafe.

Addressing Grievances

If you believe you have been unfairly accused of violating this Code of Conduct, you may submit a grievance to a designated event organizer with a clear and concise explanation. The issue will be reviewed according to araCreate Group’s existing policies.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to all araCreate Group participants, including contributors, employees, sponsors, and guests. It covers interactions in all community spaces, both online and in-person, as well as one-on-one communications related to community activities.
